Theme For Reflection - Trapped This is one of my last pieces, a work done for composition class at the University of Wyoming, coached by Dr. Guzzo. This composition is based in an interval of two upward tritons and which develop many variations along the piece. The title "Trapped" is the adjective that suits better for the feeling of the initial theme, bringing the sensation of fear, mainly thoughtfulness and  stuck feeling. The Trio, for Violin, Violoncello and Piano has almost 7 minutes in total. Although the piece is considered atonal it has a tonal center, an expended "A minor". The harmony is free in this piece, but the base of it are the augmented fifths,  quartal and triton chords. The world premier is going to be played  on April 8th, 3:00 PM Recital Hall at the BCPA, in the University of Wyoming.  Future information about the performance and mainly the performers will be posted in this text.
